in 2014. Maren currently is working as an adjunct professor at Lehigh University and Penn State Abington University, in addition, she has worked as an adjunct professor at Pennsylvania College of Art and Design and at the Tyler School of Art. Maren has also been a guest lecturer and critique at Moore College of Art. Maren also works as a studio assistant to painter and Guggenheim fellow Dona Nelson. Among other places, Maren has shown her work at Temple Contemporary in Philadelphia, The Freehold Art Gallery in New Jersey, ARAMark Headquarters in Philadelphia and Temple Rome Gallery in Rome, Italy. Maren’s work has also been published online at http://outsiderart.info/. Apart from her more traditional drawings and paintings, Maren creates drawing and painting based installations that remove these mediums from their traditional 2-dimensionalilty, and push them into an all-encompassing experience that invites the viewer to become a passerby in a moment which materializes before them. Maren’s work provokes imagination and joy through its feeble attempt at storytelling, rather humorous crack at materiality and neurotic fixation to detail.
